Tired and happy

Goodness.  I'm so tired and glad all at the same time.  It is wonderful to know that you have had a positive impact in someone's life.  Kind of like that first time of the summer you decide it's just warm enough to go walking in the rain, and while you're walking, you close your eyes and take in the scent of the rain, the sound of thousands of droplets pounding trees dirt and pavement, and the cool chill on your face and your skin as you are slowly soaked through.  You just have to heave a refreshed sigh as so many other, at this moment, unimportant circumstances in yor life melt away for a period of time, and a smile steals away the downturned corners of your face.

May I never cease to remember to thank the Lord for what He has done for me.  He has granted me freedom from the opression of sin and despair.  My thorns have been replaced by vibrant pines.

Home Sweet Home

Hmmm.. Well, so this is Xanga.  I know...it kind of looks a little bland right now, but I'm sure if you'll give me a little time (ookay.. maybe a lot of time) and a few good thoughts and I can start to make this place look a little more like home.

I like home.  What is home?  Home is a place where you can hang your hat; where you can relax and take comfort in the fact that nothing untoward is going to befall you here, because you're safe.  You feel like you know this place.  Home draws a sigh of relief from weary bones, and sweet silence from shivering limbs.  It's where you go to shut out the insanity of life in the fast lane; where you take your rest.  Where is home?  It's wherever you find it.
